Mark is a leadership, team and resilience expert with vast experience navigating turbulent waters. In his professional sailing career he’s competed in countless races and sailed over 80,000 miles across the worlds’ oceans, his most notable achievement leading a diverse amateur in the BT Global Challenge, dubbed ‘the worlds’ toughest around-the-world yacht race’.

Mark was also a major contributor to the Henley Management School MBA Text ‘Inspiring Leadership; staying afloat in turbulent times’, that looked at the relationship between emotional intelligence and achieving sustained performance in the race. It’s now in its 7th reprint.

He has been involved in many high profile projects including one that led to a £1.27bn saving for a global mining client ,and a Procurement Leaders Gold Award for People Development. He has also been pivotal to two successful mergers, and has twice assisted companies to achieve a ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for’ Award.
It’s the unique combination of this experience that’s encapsulated in his speeches, and led to Mark winning a coveted IVCA Gold Award for his speaking. He has spoken at thousands of events in over 31 countries, achieving consistent 5 star reviews from all who have been educated and enthralled.

Mark lives with his wife, two children, and two dogs near Southampton in Hampshire, UK. Hobbies include swimming, skiing, running, cycling, paddle boarding, gardening - and of course sailing!
